I think it’s important to share stories like this. I was so touched by this man’s empathy. It is always encouraging to hear that we have allies among men – sometimes it feels that, as that one caller said, they don’t consider it to be an issue that affects them, or anything they should care about. Thanks to both you and the caller for sharing this. You’re right that it’s easy to get the impression that men are either ignorant (and apathetic) or hostile towards the issue of women’s reproductive rights, and the caller’s reaction to what happened and continued care is ediftying and encouraging to all bodies on the right side of this debate.
